2 1 Health and Safety Services Ltd
General Statement of Policy
It is our policy to comply with the Health and
Safety at Work Act 1974 and any subsequent legislation
in force at the time, to provide and maintain
a safe and healthy working environment. The
health and safety objective of the Company is
to minimise the number of accidents and illnesses
whilst aiming to achieve an accident-free workplace.
We
will provide all employees with such information,
training, equipment and supervision as may be
necessary to implement our policies and achieve
our objectives. If, however, an employee is
unsure how to perform a certain task or feels
it would be dangerous to perform any such task,
then it is the employee's duty to report this
to their supervisor.
All
injuries, however small, sustained by a person
at work, must be reported immediately to their
supervisor, as accident records are essential
to the effective monitoring of the policy and
must therefore be accurate and up to date.
The
company recognise that health and safety at
work is also the responsibility of each and
every individual associated with the company
and whilst the management of the company will
do all that can be done to ensure the health
and safety of its employees. It is the duty
of each employee to take reasonable care of
their own and other people's welfare and to
report immediately any situation, which could
jeopardise the well being of themselves or that
of others
We
as a company accept our responsibility for the
health and safety of other people who may be
affected by our activities.
This
policy will be continually monitored and kept
up to date, particularly when changes in the
nature and size of our operations occur. To
ensure this, the policy will be reviewed and
updated at least annually.
